Date filling
3 cups (750 ml)chopped dates
1/3 cup (75 ml)sugar

Place all in sauce pan…bring to a boil over med heat. As soon as it starts to boil lower to simmer for about 5 minutes. Stir constantly till thickened.. Cool before using. Short on dates…I have added raisins to make up the difference. None of the above use a can of pie filling. I have used apple, cherry, blueberry and peach. All good.
