What Is Relationship Marketing?

The best way to get people to follow you, is to lead by example; use relationship marketing as your tactic.

What is relationship marketing?

The name of the game is to build as many relationships as possible in a short amount of time. Many inexperienced marketers believe they need to send their affiliate link out to everybody. They don’t ask who the person is, but they jabber down some crafty one liner message. If you adopt this strategy, you will compromise your success. Instead, take a short moment to strike a quick friendship with the individual.

Remember that relationships are not made overnight. When you come across as a sleazy salesman that is how they will see you. Think about the person you are talking to as just that, a person. Talk to them just like you would want to be talked to. If they don’t believe in you, they won’t believe in your opportunity.

Just as with relationships, businesses have to be built.

Relationship Marketing

is no exception. When you hear someone say something about making your first few thousand the first month, steer away. This takes work. I am not trying to discourage you. Just being honest with you. Many were not so honest with me when I first began and I lost money and heart. It was my purely determined business head that wouldn’t let me run.

Another thing is that you do not know how this new individual thinks yet so talk to him as if he had the same ideals. If you do not like being slammed with a lot of details then take that as his view for now. As you learn his way of thinking (which doesn’t take long if you just listen) you will know how to better approach him.

Most of all, be genuine. We have enough fakes in this industry. Be an achiever and they will see you are offering the best deal possible.

How do you do your relationship marketing?

The Power to Choose

How often we are discouraged from doing what we know we are capable of doing because of negative comments and concerns from friends and family. Instead of enthusiastically stating: “You can do it!,” “You’re the best person for the job,” “I’m glad that someone has finally recognized your talent,” “That creative idea will get you places,” and other pat on the back comments, our “supporters” say just the opposite.

Their little negative seeds become implanted in our subconscious mind and begin to sprout seedlings of self-sabotage and disrespect for our innate positive capabilities. Insidious comments from “well-meaning” supporters begin to snake their way through our psyche until they begin to rear their ugly heads from the inside out. These alien thoughts put a strain on our self-confidence and become the outcome that we never wanted in the first place. What we thought of as our million dollar idea now is demoted to idle mental chatter. We now ask ourselves, ‘How could I ever have thought I was capable of achieving that goal?” The “I can do it” mantra is replaced with the “That’s a stupid idea” affirmation and all ends in the landfill of unaccomplished goals.

With a little help from our well meaning friends and family we become resigned to the tried and true, the ordinary, the customary, and the status quo. Thoughts that are outside the norm are labeled crazy, crackpot ideas that have no practical merit. Who would ever support me in something so extraordinarily stupid? Why did I think this was a good idea? What was I thinking anyway? And the self-abuse goes on and on.

Stop! You are the only person who can end the negative mental bombardment. Refuse to relinquish your personal belief in a positive outcome. Listen to the naysayers, consider their well-meaning opinions and concerns, and then proceed in the direction of your own choosing armed with the ammunition that they have provided. A known adversary is easier to conquer than an unknown one, and they have just allowed you to be forewarned of their impending attack if you decide to proceed.

Do an about face. Walk in the direction of your belief. Have faith in the outcome. And, be assured that they won’t be gaining on you because they do not have the courage of their own convictions. Rather, they will continue to stay in the negative environment that they have created because it has become their comfort zone. As bad as it is, they remain there because it is a known that they can deal with rather than an unknown that you represent.

When you affirm that your greatest power is your power to choose, you honor your inborn ability to make wise, personally empowering choices. Life is what you make it. Choose for yourself and you will be the better for it.

Ask Yourself Why

1. Why
Why is so important because it is where you should begin before you start doing anything. Why am I going to this school? Why am I starting this business? Why should I go for this trip? Why is a reference point and you can always reflect back when things do not go your way. Your why should be Strong and have some Emotion attached to it. If you have a weak Why do not expect to succeed because when you hit the slightest bump you will quit what you started.

2. Why Not
Why Not is the next question because this is where you define your goals and get a clear picture of what you intent to do. If you have clear goals and time line to accomplish your project then Why Not is easy. If you are not clear on what you want to pursue or how to then Why Not is not possible.

3. Why Not You
This is where the emotional element kicks in Big time. Why Not You simply means that if other people can succeed and accomplish their goals you too can do the same. This requires inner or self reflection to know yourself.

4. Why Not Now
The past is gone and we cannot do anything about it. The future is not promised to anyone. We live in the present and the time to start is now. Do not wait to have all the pieces together to start. If you have the Why, Why Not and Why Not You then it is time to start working on your dreams.

So tell me what are you going to do about your why?

10 Things To Do When You Need Ideas Fast!

You are a genius. You have a human brain that is more powerful than any known computer. Stand up, walk around and get into the mindset and physiology of someone who is confident, creative, and quick-witted. Notice how a confident person breathes, how they occupy their body and space, how they move with flair. You are a genius, so
move, breathe and act like one! It’s easy for someone like you to generate ideas – you are
an Ideas Person!

Grab some colored pens and paper. Draw a circle in the middle and write your challenge inside it. Let your brain start making connections. Draw branches out from the central idea. Using colored pens note your subsequent thoughts. Use little drawings where you can. This is an idea map you are creating. Let it flow from one thing to the next.

To cook a tasty dish, you need to mix different ingredients together. It’s been said that all
creativity is the act of putting old things or old ideas together in a new way. For ideas
within a specific field, look at the old ideas within that field or related fields. Ask how you can put them together in a different way, a new format or perhaps the opposite way. If you are just looking generally for ideas, then you can reach out and let anything be the thing that starts off your creative idea storming process. Just look to combine the old in new ways.

When you combine minds, the ‘computing’ power grows exponentially and is more powerful than the sum of its parts. The truth is that you only need 1 brain to get creative – yours! However, it’s a lot more fun when you utilize the spare brainpower of friends and workmates. The extra stimulation of their thoughts and ideas could be just what you need to trigger ‘The Ultimate Idea’ that changes your life forever.

Take on a role. Do your thinking as James Bond, Napoleon Bonaparte, Martin Luther King, Albert Einstein or Dolly Parton! You are an immensely creative being. By acting as someone else, you free yourself to access other parts of your mind. Try it – if nothing else it’s fun!

Shutting your eyes immediately transports you into the world of the subconscious – and you can tap into its extraordinary non-stop thinking power. Associate closing your eyes with elevator doors closing – as soon as you close your eyes, you start going down into the depths of your subconscious and unconscious mind. Here you can access million dollar ideas with absolute ease. Allow yourself to relax, make the journey down and
think about your challenge at a deep inner level. Return when you are ready, feeling refreshed, renewed and ready to fire up your ideas.

Here’s an energy exercise much favored by the hottest Hollywood stars. Imagine that there is a golden circle of light right in front of you – this is your spotlight – your place to shine! Step inside that circle of light and feel the energy and confidence that it gives you. Ask your Higher Self, God or the Supreme Intelligence of the Universe to fill you with energy, inspiration and ideas. Imagine a little door or vortex opening at the crown of your head – your crown chakra – and then a beam of bright white light shining down from the universe and into the top of your head. This is an incredibly powerful beam of positive energy and information that should rock you to your shoes! Soak in the good feelings of being saturated by this loving positive helpful energy. Close the crown chakra and step out of your golden circle when you are ready and get on with your tasks.

Grab sackfuls of quality ideas from an ideas bank and run with them! There are various idea banks on the Internet, as well as thousands of blogs, message boards and chat-rooms where ideas are mooted. You can also get books full of ideas. Let’s say you are looking for an idea for a new business. You could go to Amazon, order a copy of something like the “Entrepreneur’s Ultimate Start-Up Directory: 1,350 Great Business Ideas!” and you
could plunder that bank of ideas directly or indirectly by letting it stimulate you or by
recombining its ideas into more formats.

Milk will only flow from a cow when its teats are squeezed under pressure. It’s the same with your brain! To milk your brain for a bucketful of creme-de-la-creme ideas, you have to squeeze your brain and put it under pressure. The way you do that is to create a target, a deadline, a reward and a forfeit. Let’s say you set the target as 10 workable ideas, to be set down within 20 minutes. If you succeed, the reward is you spend $20 on yourself; if you fail, you give the $20 to someone who doesn’t deserve it and that you don’t like! Everybody is different, so set up a rewards and forfeit scheme that motivates you.

The brain is a stimulus and response bio-machine. The best way to stimulate it is to ask questions. Questions awaken your creative responses. Remember, the meaning of your communication is in the response you get. So, if you are getting lousy answers, you need to ask better questions. Interview and interrogate your brain to get the flow of ideas you want.

Be the master of your mind. Practice the martial art of Cando and you’ll find you CAN DO anything!
