Keywords are what people type into search engines. They may be single words or phrases. These are what makes it easy to find information on any topic you want. When you type in the search box you are using keyword(s) or keyword phrases. These are the keys that help you find what you are looking for.

Articles or other information that you see on the net use certain keywords over and over again through the information they are writing about. Search engines pick up on the keywords in the article(s) and when you type in your keywords the article(s) or information with your keywords (phrases) will show in the search engine list.

Keywords are a major part of any search you do. Look at any search engine. You will also see ads that people pay for on particular keywords or phrases. With proper placement and use of keywords and keyword phrases they can be used bring people to your business.

There are two types of keywords which are:
# shorttail: keywords that are broad like “books”
# longtail: keywords that are more specific and have multiple words like “mystery books”

Putting together longtail keyword lists will drive more highly targeted people than shorttail keywords which makes longtail keywords a golden nugget. You can generate a lot of interest with short-tail keywords but you will lose in the end because they are nowhere as targeted as longtail keywords would let you become..

Use a combination of shorttail and longtail keywords. Focus more on the longtail keywords that will drive more potential targeted people to your site.

Find out how YOU can have leads come to YOU.

How were you told to grow your network marketing home business?

How were you told to grow your network marketing home business? Use fliers, bug family and friends? Buy leads, hold meetings?

When you joined your first network marketing company, you were told to use these same techniques. The first marketing strategy you were told to use was get paper and pen and get busy on a names list of my closest and dearest. Do you know that many people? Was your first question!! So you sat and wrote name after name. Then you called or visited these people.

After all of the rejections you had it!! Not working!! All your upline told you was you didn’t have a strong enough “why” for the business. You thought having a good reason and knowledge of the business would be enough. Wrong! Your “why” was strong but your “how” was nowhere in sight. You needed a “how”to get people to come to you. My goal would have to have interested traffic that came to you and become sign ups in a marketing system then into my online business.

Youi want a marketing system that wasn’t costly to run. It’s repeatability you want. Something generic that could be customize and wouldn’t interfere with your main business. You want something to help capture, attract and give content to the people out there.

Knowing what you want this marketing system may be the key. It had everything. I haven’t looked back. You want to do the same? Best the system is F R E E See for yourself…….

The Definition of Blogging

The definition of blogging is something that changes as fast
the new technologies that appear every day. What a blog is, what a blog can be, and what a blog should do, can vary from person to person.

For many years, blogs were defined as text-based websites that kept records of days, similar to a captain’s log on a ship. This started to change as the people who kept blogs became more diverse. The more bloggers began to explore the limits; the more the boundaries of what could be called a “blog” have expanded.

Today, there are an abundance of photo blogs, even video blogs.
Mobile blogging devices have now change the definition of blogging
entirely by making it possible for bloggers to create new kinds of
posts. Another element of blogging that is starting to redefine blogging is the business blog. As more companies hire writers to keep blogs with the purpose of creating positive buzz about their brand.

Between all of these different forces that are constantly
expanding and reshaping the the definition of blogging, it is hard to say if the definition of what is and is not a blog will ever remain fixed for very long.

Growing Your own Garden

I can hear you thinking “I have no idea how to grow vegetables”. Yes you can easily learn enough to be growing useful crops very quickly, and the time spent in your garden will teach you even more. You will learn things that are unique to your own situation, such as local soil conditions, your particular relationship to the sun, and oddities that relate to your local micro climate. You will learn all this by getting out and playing in the garden.

The taste of home grown vegetables is way better then the commercially grown produce you get in the store. Have you heard people complain that tomatoes no longer have any taste? They will have that taste when you grow your own….in fact anything you will grow will have that taste. That is what I missed the most when I had decided not to grow my own garden for a few years. The lack of taste with the commercial garden is not all the fault of the growers, as they are under pressure to produce a crop, of uniform size and colour, to the schedule of the wholesale market, and ultimately the supermarket. You will be growing to your own schedule and just the beauty of watching things grow..

The freshness of your own crop is a big plus. Vegetables I have bought from the store, have started to become inedible after a few days. I have had home grown produce like lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions….your salad stuff….. still fresh in the refrigerator after 2 weeks! Root vegetables like carrots and potatoes will last the winter stored in a coldroom that is kept basically the same temp as a refrigerator. Other vegetables like beans, peas, corn, beets, yes even spinach can be canned or frozen.

Your garden can produce a generous yield. It’s like having free vegetables. Summer is usually a time of abundance, even glut, as family and friends leave your place with perhaps more produce than they had expected to see. A tip – when giving away fresh produce, try to limit your generosity – it is better to give a small amount to many rather than to give to the few more than they can actually use.

This may be your first garden…wanting to know more….. browsing the bookstores, you will find hundreds of books on the topic – which do you buy? Look for the simple, basic information. Do not bother with those full of jargon – you will learn the technical terms as you go. If you want after you have experimented…learned on your own…..then want that extra knowledge…..then yes do buy the book(s) full of the extra info.

You will hear ‘all the extra tips’ from the family, such as “Uncle Bob always put … (you name it) … on his … (name it again)”. Folklore is part of our heritage, there is no guarantee of its usefulness……but it is fun and interesting to give it a try. We have.

You will hear from the genius, who has done nothing, but still knows all the answers – nod wisely, and then ignore him. Plants evolved millions of years before humans, and they actually want to grow. It has been said that in many cases plants grow despite what we do to help them. If you provide the basics, and these are reasonable nutrition and regular watering, Mother Nature does the rest – let her work for you……enjoy the beauty of growth and the bounty of the harvest.

Lesson learned the hard way.

So happy to have my blog up and running. Told to have between 10 and 15 blog posts so I can get my blog social bookmarked.

I buckled down with excitement….. a bundle of nerves…..what am I going to write about??

Finally got going like there was no end.

Uploaded them all with excitement and anticipation…..

Something told me to check to see how our Internet Explorer friends will see my blog……the whole side bar was gone!!

I yelled for help. Was told it was stray coding……I used Word?? I go ‘Say What???’

So now what do I do? I googled for info. Sites told me to try editing in notepad. I systematically went through all my post….very happy I didn’t have a 100 of them. Still didn’t help.

I googled again…..I found a different answer…..was told no..it’s not that. You need to get rid of the stray coding that MS Word leaves behind Yes you guessed it WordPress and MS Word don’t get along.

I had to edit most of my posts by going into edit again…this time clicking on the html tab getting rid of the stray code.

When all was all said and done. Went and checked in Internet Explorer…my sidebar was back!!

From now on….I do all my posts in notepad. Paste into WordPress then use their editing capabilities….like bold etc etc.

Why am I telling you this? I don’t want it to happen to you.

Shared with me from a friend in a forum….

Being that time of year and me liking to use something that is not harsh on a person’s system…I’m sharing with you.

Herbal Insect Repellent

* 2 1/2 teaspoons total of any combination of the following essential oils: basil, cedarwood, citronella, juniper, lemon, myrrh, palmarosa, pine, rose geranium and/or rosemary (available at health food stores)
1 cup 190-proof grain alcohol (available in liquor stores)

Place ingredients in a jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake vigorously. Transfer to small bottles for storage. To use, rub a small amount on any exposed skin (test first to be sure your skin will not be adversely affected by the repellent) or dab it on clothing.

Experiment a little to find which essential oils work best with your body chemistry. If you’re lucky, you also will like the way they smell; otherwise, add a few drops of peppermint oil to fine-tune the fragrance.

Household Items To Relieve Itching

1. Rub a bar of soap over the itch. I just tried this (Ivory soap) and the relief was near instant. I used a dry bar of soap directly on the skin, but I also have notes that you can spritz bite with water and then run bar of soap over area-or use a wet bar of soap.

2. Place a piece of scotch tape on the bite; or dab rubbing alcohol or ammonia on the bite first then stick on a piece of tape.

3. Hot water: Take a hot shower, or a hot bath, or apply a hot compress. As hot as you can stand it without burning you. 4. Ice cube, ice pack or very cold water

Dabbers For Itch Relief

The quicker you can apply one of the remedies below, the faster the relief. These are topical suggestions, apply directly to the bite area.

1. Nail Polish

2. Strong tea mixed with rubbing alcohol

3. Toothpaste

4. Mouthwash

5. Vinegar (apply directly to bite or take a hot bath with 2 cups of vinegar in the water)

6. Honey

7. Underarm deodorant (solid or roll-on) – apply directly to bite area

8. Rubbing Alcohol

9. Ammonia

10. Bleach

11. Tea: Use a hot tea bag or a cotton ball soaked in hot tea to dab on bite area

Paste Applications

Mix these fresh then apply to bite as soon as possible. The consistency should be nice and thick so it won’t run, yet will still stay in place on the affected area. You could also spritz bite with water then apply grains/powders directly (generously) and rub them in.

1. Baking Soda & Water (works for me)

2. Meat Tenderizer & Water

3. Salt & Water

4. Epsom Salt & Water (could also do this as a foot soak if it’s the ankle/foot area affected)

5. Tums Tablets: crush and add a few drops of water

6. Aspirin: crush then add a few drops of water

7. Aspirin – crush then apply a few drops of rubbing alcohol

Commercial Product Lotions, Creams & Applications
•  Apply directly to mosquito bite area.

1. Calamine Lotion

2. Benadryl Cream

3. Orajel

4. Anbesol

5. Caladryl

6. Vicks VapoRub

7. Preparation H

8. Lucas Papaw Ointment

9. Tiger Balm

10. Bag Balm

11. Gold Bond Medicated Cream (or the Gold Bond Medicated Powder)

12. Mylanta (heartburn relief product)

13. After Bite

Essential Oils For Itch Relief

Apply full strength directly to bite area. Edit: There are concerns about using essential oils on children and pre-teens, especially repeated use.

1. Tea Tree Oil

2. Lavender Oil

3. Witch Hazel (astringent)

4. Cedar Oil

Leaf Applications
•  Crush the fresh leaves roughly then apply to bite area

1. Basil

2. Plantains (Plantago)

Fruity Applications
•  Use fresh fruit & apply directly to bite

1. Lemon Juice

2. Lemon Slice

3. Lime Juice

4. Lime Slice

5. Banana Peel (rub inside of peel on bite)

Whew! Big List! If I’ve missed your favorite remedy for mosquito bites, please add them below. Notes

* If a remedy doesn’t provide fast relief, don’t despair. Give it another try, sometimes it will take 2 or 3 applications before it kicks in.

* The itch from mosquito bites comes from the saliva of the mosquito that it injects into you as it feasts on your blood. There are several dozen different species of mosquitoes and you may react to some species bites more than others.

* If large swelling occurs (like welts), contact a doctor or pharmacist for suggestions (especially if it’s a child with a strong reaction). It could be an allergy to the bite. It’s important to watch the throat for swelling and get treatment asap.

Resetting PSP to default.
Resetting PSP to default (deleting PSP’s registry) can fix many problems within PSP, errors caused by a corrupt registry missing or grayed out tools and other irregularities.
The big draw back from resetting is the loss of custom settings you have made and having to redo the preferences. To delete and re-write PSP’s registry (reset defaults) do the following:
Go to START/PROGRAMS/Jasc Software Inc/ PAINT SHOP PRO 7. Immediately after you click on the PAINT SHOP PRO 7 icon press and hold CTRL+ALT on your keyboard.
Paint Shop Pro will ask you if you would like to delete the registry settings for Paint Shop Pro. Select YES.
When Paint Shop Pro opens it will have all the restored features of initial installation.

Freeing space in the PSP Program Folder.
When you applied the PSP Patch 7.02 , Version 7.02 created a backup of version 7 in a folder called Unpatch ( C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro 7\Unpatch folder)
The same would apply if you installed the 7.04 patch, a back up of 7.02 would have been created. If you have ran PSP patched versions with no problem then it is unnecessary to keep this folder on your hard drive.
You can copy it to a cd for safe keeping if you like and delete the Unpatch folder, reclaiming up to 62 Mb of disk space.

Freeing memory
Lower the “undo” storage for files
File/Preferences/General Program Preferences, hit the Undo tab and set the undo storage to 15 MB.
If you are working with large graphics and use the undo frequently you may need to set it to 40mgb.

Browser Caches
PSP creates a browser cache when using the browse function in PSP. This enables faster loading of graphics. However if graphics are moved around, stored elsewhere or deleted the browser cache remains the same size and can get very large taking up valuable space. It is advisable to delete them frequently to allow a build of a fresh cache in your files. To do this go to Find files and type in “jbf” without the quotation marks. You will see all the pspbrwse icons appear. Select them all and press delete on your keyboard. The next time you browse in PSP new caches will be built.

Autosave
When PSP crashes or freezes for some reason and you haven’t saved your work, you can lose everything,
Go to File > Preferences > Autosave settings.
This will open the Autosave Settings dialogue box, Tick the ‘Enable Autosave’ box. Set the time schedule you require, 5 minutes should be sufficient. Click OK. Autosave is now enabled and your work will automatically be saved to the temp file every 5 minutes. If PSP crashes you can re-open and your work will be loaded as before.

Save Worktop
When you save your workspace, you will be saving settings for your toolbar, palettes, also settings for your rulers and grids plus image information including image position in your workspace etc., so that you can return to your project at a later time.
Go To >File > Workspace > Save. The standard “Save as” dialogue box will appear. It will ask you for a file location you wish to save your workspace to. Workspace will be saved in a ..wsp format, so you need to give it a name eg: project2.wsp.
Next time you open PSP go to File > Workspace > Load. The workspace will remember the locations of your graphics so it is important that you do not move them after saving the workspace.

Tools grayed out
The majority of tools will only function on a image with a colour depth of 16.7 million colours (24 bit). To restore your image to 24 bit, Go to Colours > Increase Colour Depth > 16 Million. Now all of your tools should be active except the tools that require a selection.

Using Fonts in PSP
Having too many fon ts installed on your system can cause PSP to load slower, as it has to load all the fonts. PSP can use any font that is not installed. Open the font file you wish to use, by double clicking on the font icon, and minimize it on your desktop. That font will now show up in the font list in the ‘Text’ dialogue box.

Screen Shots
If you want to make a screen shot of your work or tools in PSP, or anywhere else on your computer. Press the Print Screen key on your keyboard, right click on your PSP workspace and “Paste as new image” you can then crop your screen shot down to size and use.

Previous File Formats
PSP, by default will want to save all your new images as .psp files, which can be annoying when working mostly with jpg’s To avoid this, open the General Program Preferences, hit the Dialogues and Palettes Tab, check the box “Remember last type used in file save-as dialogue”.

Floating tool bars/palettes
While working on a project particularly when lasooing an image, the tool palettes tend to get in the way. Just press the tab key on your keyboard to make them disappear and press the tab key once more to make them reappear.

Crop Tool
Make your selection on the graphic, and double click outside your selected area still on the graphic and your picture will crop automatically
Always use the crop tool and not the selection tool to “cut” an image for a clean outline. The selection too tends to leave and edge of white pixels (unless using for a seamless selection)

Sharpen Option
When making a graphic smaller, got to effects > sharpen once, this will bring back the clarity of the pixels that are lost when shrinking the graphic.

Applying Shadow
While the image that you are applying shadow to is surrounded by the selection go to Selections > Modify > Contract and contract by 1 pixel this will prevent a ragged white appearance around the graphic after shadow has been applied.

PSP Colour Palette
For those of you who like to have a range of colours and the hexadecimal value for stationery etc. Got to File > Program Preferences > Make sure the hexadecimal preference box is ticked and untick ” use standard Windows colour picker”. This will give you a slider bar choices on hues/sat/light and red/blue/green along with other useful information in the colour dialogue box. Which will enable you a far greater range in colours.

Colour Option Effect
This is a very little used option in PSP that enhances the colours of graphics. Effects > Enhance Photo > Automatic Colour Balance.
A nice little tool that allows you to make the colours look warmer or cooler. I find it invaluable.
Likewise the option of Effects > Enhance Photo > Clarify enhances and clarifies the colours.

The effects that are under the tools of “Enhance Photo” are very useful effects and are not restricted to Photo’s. Try them out on your graphics.
