Measure Your Growth

Seems the right things come at the right time. I went in to check what was happening in my Facebook group ABC’s to grow your marketing radius and saw the following that I am sure will hit home for a lot of you. It stood out for me because a leader of a group I am in felt she wasn’t/isn’t doing enough. She also felt she wasn’t good enough to do what she was doing. I kept telling her….Yes you are. I saw this and fired it off to her in an email. I thought…hummmm……I’m sure there are lots that feel/felt the same…..so I am sharing these wise words that were posted to the group as a discussion. Join in….. tell us your thoughts.

Measure Your Growth

Do you excel at most everything you do yet beat yourself up because you didn’t do more?

Are you striving for greatness every day and yet if everything isn’t turning out just so, you feel like a failure?

Remember, great people tend to be hard on themselves because they are up to something truly big. Whether you are committed to being the best parent, an entrepreneur or to change the world at a global level, the first step towards success is to know your power and greatness.

Just because you haven’t gotten ‘there’ yet doesn’t mean you haven’t achieved a high level of growth. It’s hard to see how far you’ve come without some sort of measurement. Looking forward at all you have to do is wonderful when it comes to staying in the vision, however if you want to see how far you’ve come, look back for a moment.

Don’t stay in the past of course, but for about 5 minutes once per week, take a peak at where you were a week ago, a month ago and then a year ago. Has there been a change? Did you start a new business, create a new program, do something more than you did before? If so, pat yourself on the back. You have grown my friend. Acknowledge your path. This is crucial in order to get to the next level. Honor all you have done and all that you evolved into during this time. THEN, stand on the shoulders of that phenomenal person (you) and move forward.

Affirmation: Today I appreciate where I have been and all I have done – this made me who I am today. I am proud of my accomplishments.

John Di Lemme on “I Am A Habit”

I was in a chat the other day. We were talking about negative comments we may see/hear in our marketing and/or daily life. We can either let our habits/comments be negative which I say is not a good plan…..or…..we can be positive. Someone posted the following and I found it so fitting. My choice is the positive route…..how about you? Read and decide…..remember it IS your choice…..

H-A-B-I-T…When 95% of people hear this word, a negative thought pops up in their minds. Typically, most people think of a habit being negative.

The secret to your future lies in your daily habits so ask yourself right now, “Are my habits today going to help me achieve my WHY in life?” This is a life-empowering question if you truly ask it and listen for the answer.

I received the following excerpt from a very dear friend of mine and felt that it is definitely the best explanation of a habit that I have ever heard:

I am your constant companion.
I am your greatest helper or your heaviest burden.
I will push you onward or drag you down to failure.
I am completely at your command.
Half the things you do, you might just as well turn over to me,
and I will be able to do them quickly and correctly.
I am easily managed; you must merely be firm with me.
Show me exactly how you want something done, and after a few
lessons I will do it automatically.
I am the servant of all great men.
And, alas, of all failures as well.
Those who are great, I have made great.
Those who are failures, I have made failures.
I am not a machine, though I work with all the precision of a machine.
Plus, the intelligence of a man.
You may run me for profit, or run me for ruin; it makes no difference to me.
Take me, train me, be firm with me and I will put the world at your feet.
Be easy with me, and I will destroy you.
Who am I?
I am a HABIT!

One of my daily habits that is the foundation of my life is spending 45-60 minutes each and every morning feeding my body physically by exercising and feeding my mental spirit by reading or listening to a motivational message. This habit warms me up for the day ahead.

Everyone washes their physical body and feeds their body every morning, but 95% of people will find an excuse about why they can not find the “TIME” to invest in a habit of feeding their MINDS!

This parallels the statistic that 95% of people are dead or dead broke by the age 65. I consider this particular daily habit of mine to be the driving force behind my ability to consistently maintain my intense focus on the journey of success and living a dream life.

Is it easy all the time? Of course not, but when it becomes a habit – you will do it! If you commit today to begin each morning warming yourself up for the day ahead by feeding your mental spirit, your entire life will change in a positive fashion very quickly. It is like driving a race car with the emergency brake on and you try to go ahead, but you can’t move. You stay in the same location with your wheels spinning, burning up, making a lot of noise, but not going anywhere! All it takes is to release the brake and you will fly towards toward your WHY in life!!

You need to review what your habits are and ask yourself…”Would I recommend MY habits to someone I truly love and care about?” Your entire future lies in your daily habits-positive or negative. You have the most powerful force right now in your hands, the ability to decide what your habits will begin to be.

Find Your WHY & FLY!!

We should never take anything for granted.

“It’s true that we don’t know what we’ve got until we lose it, but it’s also true that wedon’t know what we’ve been missing until it arrives.” Unknown

Reminds me of the Big Yellow Taxi lyrics, by Joni Mitchell “Don’t it always seem to go /That you don’t know what you’ve got / Till it’s gone / ” We most times don’t see it till it’s gone. We need to be in the “See it Now”.

This brings us to the second part of the quote. Have you always had a strong desire to do something for example run your own business, but was never given an opportunity to do it?? Give your self that opportunity. That is your “missing until it arrives” . Have you forgotten about your goal?? It s there now! Act on it. Discover your passion.

There aren’t any limitations in what you can do, except the limitations you have in your own mind. Sure, frustration sets in and we made many mistakes, but realized your mistakes are the stepping stones to your success. Share your learning experiences, that is the way we learn and grow.

It’s like someone said to me earlier today….”I guess it’s like everything… if you live next to Disney World you don’t go there because it’s really close, you kinda take it for granted…..”

In my travels looking for new ideas and article content to write about I stumbled upon something I thought will be interesting to do. Guest blogging.

Now you are asking: “What is that?” Let me explain..

I’d be asking you the readers of my blog if you would like to have your articles posted here for others to read. It would be a great way to add more valuable content, free exposure for you the guest. Also drive more traffic in both directions. Who ever the guest poster is at the time will get a link to put on their blog to the article that they have posted here on my blog. I in turn will post a link back to guest’s blog so he/she would get more exposure.

So if I have a different guest poster once a week on a special guest poster page….that is four other blogs that will have more exposure.

You can do the same on your blog …..that will bring in more traffic to you too. Plus you won’t have to write as many articles….as we all would be sharing valuable knowledge.

What do you think?? Is this a good idea? Or is it something better left alone?

Count Your Blessings

I have a cross stitch that I did many years ago hanging on my wall saying ‘Count your blessings’.

There are times yes I ‘don’t’ see it…..other times I do. Sad in a way as I Should see it and count my blessings each day.

Now you wonder……are there that many in a day?? Yes there are!!! You are awake right? That is a blessing….means you are alive and can go on with your day. You you walk into your kitchen…put the coffee on…..start you breakfast there is another.

As you pour that coffee you think….grass needs cutting….windows need cleaning……that too is a blessing……you have a home. See there is another…..

As the day goes by you find other ones…..kids come home from school……start grumbling that you have asked them to help……that is a blessing…….they could be roaming the streets.

Hubby comes home…..plants himself in the recliner…….that is a blessing…….he could be sitting in a bar……

You grumble paying the bills……..it’s a blessing…….you have power, heat and water…….

You look around…..you see the mess……count your blessing that there is one…….shows you had fun with family and friends……

You crawl into bed to rest those weary achy muscles…..means you are healthy and capable of working, playing hard etc……see there is another……

I’m sure you can find more…..I did……

Keep counting your Blessings.

Instant Christmas

I glance through the Christmas CD collection and pick out a favorite. ‘Two stepping ‘Round the Christmas tree’ will do. I have now started my Christmas routine.
After years of practice I have learned a few quick tricks. Now it only takes days, where it used to take months, or so it seemed.
Writer’s cramp is a thing of the past, I now send e-mail newsletters and virtual Christmas cards. Freezer is full of store bought goodies… all I had to do is label them, cabbage, carrots or some other non goodie, so they aren’t ‘stolen’ by those who can’t wait. Gone are the baking get-togethers with friends, when I can assemble a precut gingerbread house in less time then it would take to bake. The family marks their wishes from the catalogue, I place the order, If I pay a small price they will tag and wrap. Even deliver to family that are far.
The pre-decorated tree is ready each year. All I need to do is bring it out of it’s wraps. Decorating is done in a snap. I can call my sister far away and ask her to swap our festive clothing for this year. Hey I’ll be ready in record breaking time.
Hanging those stockings on the fireplace mantel has me reaching for the switch. Hearing the cackle of that almost real looking fake flame, I glance out the window and watch the snow fall. Oh such a perfect touch.
Watching the snow fall, I start to daydream of Christmas’s past. The CD starts playing an old favorite. Filling me with memories; it gives me a jolt. I’m then not in my own home. I see Grandma basting the turkey and Grandpa putting his final trimmings on the tree singing his own rendition of “Jingle Bells” with us all joining in.
The majestic pine tree fills the room with its fresh smell. All the homemade ornaments, that we have all helped make, were hung with care. Each with it’s own special meaning. The tree can’t begin hide all the gifts brightly wrapped with matching ribbon and lace. Looks too pretty to unwrap come Christmas day.
The door bell rings bringing more cheer.
A room full of family so dear. I can see Uncle Tim and Aunt Sue smiling and kissing under the mistletoe.
The music ends along with the vision. I’m left thinking of the pre stuffed turkey, the store bought canned sauce and goodies. I felt as though something was missing, so I turn my thoughts back to the past.
Although Uncle Tim and Aunt Sue worked and were of few words, their card would be the first to arrive. Always a special picked card with a handwritten note. Wishing us good cheer; the best in the coming new year.
I peek at the calendar. It’s not too late. I rummage and find some left over cards from a year gone past. I pick a special one with a country-style Christmas scene. I start writing, ‘ Dear Uncle Tim and Aunt Sue’.

Well I do. And most likely you do too.

Farming can be one of the most unscheduled lifestyles you can get at times. Interrupted meals…..lack of sleep……especially during seeding, harvest and calving time. So I thought. Our health is so very important. Something we all tend to neglect.

And neglect; yes both hubby and I have done it. Being on the farm you are prone to bumps, burses, cuts, strains, lifting/moving the wrong way….which leads to…yes I am saying it; pain and inflammation. I had cellulitis that developed a blood clot three years ago; that left me not feeling 100% healthy. This spring I was introduced to something that has made a world of difference. The constant swelling is under control. The pain is almost 100% gone. I have a lot more energy. I don’t tire as easy anymore. I’m enjoying life again!! Going for walks; enjoying having fun again with family and friends. Hubby seeing how it has worked for me is on it now too. He says he has a lot more energy and feels healthier then he has for a long time. We both get a restful sleep and wake up refreshed!!

From conversations with family and friends I have suggested they try Nopalea. Some have done it on their own. A few I have sent them A Gift.

I believe this may help you or someone you know.

I would like you, or someone you know to take the challenge!!! I’d like to send a Gift, to the first 10 that respond. It’s up to you now. Do you want to be on your way to a happier lifestyle??

Available in Canada and USA only.

Keywords are what people type into search engines. They may be single words or phrases. These are what makes it easy to find information on any topic you want. When you type in the search box you are using keyword(s) or keyword phrases. These are the keys that help you find what you are looking for.

Articles or other information that you see on the net use certain keywords over and over again through the information they are writing about. Search engines pick up on the keywords in the article(s) and when you type in your keywords the article(s) or information with your keywords (phrases) will show in the search engine list.

Keywords are a major part of any search you do. Look at any search engine. You will also see ads that people pay for on particular keywords or phrases. With proper placement and use of keywords and keyword phrases they can be used bring people to your business.

There are two types of keywords which are:
# shorttail: keywords that are broad like “books”
# longtail: keywords that are more specific and have multiple words like “mystery books”

Putting together longtail keyword lists will drive more highly targeted people than shorttail keywords which makes longtail keywords a golden nugget. You can generate a lot of interest with short-tail keywords but you will lose in the end because they are nowhere as targeted as longtail keywords would let you become..

Use a combination of shorttail and longtail keywords. Focus more on the longtail keywords that will drive more potential targeted people to your site.

Find out how YOU can have leads come to YOU.

How were you told to grow your network marketing home business?

How were you told to grow your network marketing home business? Use fliers, bug family and friends? Buy leads, hold meetings?

When you joined your first network marketing company, you were told to use these same techniques. The first marketing strategy you were told to use was get paper and pen and get busy on a names list of my closest and dearest. Do you know that many people? Was your first question!! So you sat and wrote name after name. Then you called or visited these people.

After all of the rejections you had it!! Not working!! All your upline told you was you didn’t have a strong enough “why” for the business. You thought having a good reason and knowledge of the business would be enough. Wrong! Your “why” was strong but your “how” was nowhere in sight. You needed a “how”to get people to come to you. My goal would have to have interested traffic that came to you and become sign ups in a marketing system then into my online business.

Youi want a marketing system that wasn’t costly to run. It’s repeatability you want. Something generic that could be customize and wouldn’t interfere with your main business. You want something to help capture, attract and give content to the people out there.

Knowing what you want this marketing system may be the key. It had everything. I haven’t looked back. You want to do the same? Best the system is F R E E See for yourself…….

The Definition of Blogging

The definition of blogging is something that changes as fast
the new technologies that appear every day. What a blog is, what a blog can be, and what a blog should do, can vary from person to person.

For many years, blogs were defined as text-based websites that kept records of days, similar to a captain’s log on a ship. This started to change as the people who kept blogs became more diverse. The more bloggers began to explore the limits; the more the boundaries of what could be called a “blog” have expanded.

Today, there are an abundance of photo blogs, even video blogs.
Mobile blogging devices have now change the definition of blogging
entirely by making it possible for bloggers to create new kinds of
posts. Another element of blogging that is starting to redefine blogging is the business blog. As more companies hire writers to keep blogs with the purpose of creating positive buzz about their brand.

Between all of these different forces that are constantly
expanding and reshaping the the definition of blogging, it is hard to say if the definition of what is and is not a blog will ever remain fixed for very long.
